Eight teachers visit Bath as part of Maine travel course
A group of eight Maine elementary teachers taking Gorham State Teachers College Travel Course toured Bath industries and historic sites as part of a six week Maine itinerary. Co directors Dr. Errol L Dearborn and Miss Elizabeth Ring led tours with guided visits to local sites including Mrs Marion Jaques Smith. The group plans trips through Wisccasset Head Tide and will cover about 3000 miles visiting 21 cities and 200 towns during the course which has drawn roughly 150 teachers since 1947.
