William Manson 85, a longtime guest at the Old Folks Home, died Wednesday morning. Born Readfield June 22, 1858, he was the son of Mark and Elizabeth Manson. A former watchman at Massachusetts plants for the bene factor, he moved to Bath to spend his remaining days at the Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at two from Curtis Funeral Home.

Miss Alice Eaton was surprised with a pre-nuptial shower Friday evening at 250 Center Street hosted by Miss Patricia Webster and co-hostess Miss June Sullivan. Eaton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Eaton, is a Morse High School 1940 graduate who worked at the Carroll Store. Clark, Morse High 1939 graduate, works at Bath Iron Works.
