Coast Guard units saved the Wiscasset Maine schooner Jinneal and its ten crew members as they drifted toward breakers. The Ashing schooner was to be towed to safety off Cape Cord by the patrol boat Dix. The Juncai, last sighted off North Truro at 8 pm, failed to head out to sea as wind and surf closed in. The Dix reached the scene, hauled them clear, and delivered them from danger. The Junea’s cargo earlier included a load of fish shipped to New York. Miss Helen Stevens left Friday for a vacation in Boston and Weston Massachusetts to visit her sister.
