Winter Burdens on RFC Routes and Percy Family History
A winter described as hard plagues RFC carrier Rodney Wyman whose route is lengthened by deep drifts, while a Gardiner plow truck failed on route 4. The article then recounts Asa L. Percy family history in the Parker Head region, detailing moves from Sewell Bowker house to Cox Head and Portland, a fatal fire, Coffie sisters’ house, and militia activity during a British frigate threat with Captain Ellis Percy and Nathaniel Ellis Percy noted as early settlers and militia members.

Bradford of the State Park Commission visited to inspect Fort Baldwin and Fort Popham, with housekeeping by custodian Benjamin Britt for Bradbury Mountain State Park. Various residents feed updates on health, travel plans, and school honors, including Shirley Isaacson earning A and B ranks at the University of Wisconsin.
