Pupils Present Fine Program At P T A Meeting
South End P T A held its regular meeting at Weeks Street school with about 50 parents friends and teachers. Grades six and seven pupils presented a folk song program including America the Beautiful Old Hundred Star Spangled Banner and Swing Low Sweet Chariot. A piano solo by Donald Coombs accompanied by Mrs Evelyn Stairs followed by chorus singing. Refreshments were served after the program. The business meeting covered winter activities Lionesses supper school improvement and fund drives. Founders Day tea is set for Feb 17 with committees named. Next meeting March 7 will feature a Juvenile Delinquency panel by Supt Harland A Ladd.
