Mrs Margaret E Rowe died in Waltham Massachusetts after being a Bath and Popham Beach figure. She leaves son Winfield S Rowe two daughters Mrs Samuel Butler and Mrs Joseph Hull both of Waltham a brother George Oliver of Popham Beach a nephew Charles H Oliver of Bath and a niece Mrs Frank Oliver of Bath. Funeral was Sunday at 2 30 pm from Beth Eden Baptist Church in Waltham.
Alfred Sampson, 72, of Waldeboro, died Jan 20. A sparmaker, he worked in Bath for Lewis Cameron and later helped overhaul the old car ferry Hercules. Survived by widow, son Walter of Fryeburg, three daughters, a brother in Worcester, and three sisters in Maine and New York.
Joan J Tibbetts widow of Waterman Tibbetts of Woolwich died Monday. Funeral Wednesday forenoon at 10 at Albert Sfathorn residence in Woolwich. Daughter of the late Benjamin and Martha Grover innkeepers of Grover's Tavern. Survived by son George W Tibbetts of California and daughter Mrs Albert Hathorn of Woolwich.
Mrs Mary Prout widow of John Prout died Saturday at the East Thunpden home aged about 70. Born in Limerick Ireland she lived in Hampden 70 years, loved as a kind neighbor and mother. Survived by three daughters and two sons Edward Prout Agnes Proper D L Dougherty I T McCarthy John Prout. Funeral Tuesday morning with Dougherty family from this city attending.
Captain Henry A. Cummings of Taunton long a Staples Coal Co inspector died suddenly Friday during Bath barge construction by Keller Spear Co. A veteran of the Civil War he served 35 months with Co D 40th Massachusetts. He leaves a wife two daughters and two brothers.
