The Galen Moses Loyal Temperance Legion hosted a Christmas party for city temperance groups at the YMCA. Winners included Clifton Nickerson for Going to Jerusalem and a clothes pin race prize. Ernest Perkins won a cricket for pin the tail on the donkey. fruit and refreshments were shared and sent to Salvation Army for the poor. Funeral services for Mrs Josephine McFadden widow of Frank McFadden were held Thursday afternoon at her son Albert McFadden’s home 29 Park Street. Rev Weston P Holman officiated. Bearers included Alderman FE Mason Wright George Gray Chauncey D Lewis and Harry Bennett. Burial followed at Oak Cemetery Georgetown Center. Mrs Arthur Sewall and Mrs Harry F Morin drove to Portland for the day.
The D G Class IB party marked a festive close to the Fall term with a brown leather pocketbook as a gesture of thanks to teacher Mrs. David N. Heald. Students, parents, and the school staff enjoyed iced cake and cookies as they celebrated a productive term and prepared to resume on December 29 after the Christmas break.

Dr. Duce, Bath health officer, is a Kirksville osteopathy graduate. Mrs. Duce taught Bath schools for three years. The couple plan a trip to Boston and New York and will reside at 897 Middle Street. Out-of-town guests attended from Port land, Haverhill, Pomfret Center, Lisbon Falls, and West Lynn.
