Bath man Roy Hosmer dies after auto crash
Roy G. Hosmer 47 of Bath died in Brunswick hospital from injuries after being struck on the State highway near the four corners between New Meadows river bridge and the Country club. Harold P. Polley 19 of Topsham and Lawrence E. Nash 20 of Pejepscot saw Hosmer severely injured, transported him to Brunswick hospital, where he died shortly after midnight. Polley says blinding lights and a possible stumble by Hosmer caused the collision. Hosmer was born December 20, 1887, lived in Bath 18 years, and leaves a wife, parents, a brother Guy S. Hosmer of Bath, and sister Bernice S. Hosmer, a teacher in Attleboro Massachusetts.
