Frank Lord Injured When Struck By Auto
Frank P. Lord of 10 Pearl Street was struck by a car at Washington and Pearl streets Saturday evening and taken to Bath Memorial Hospital. Driver Charles E. Leeman, 24 Cummings Street, was not blamed by police. Dr. A A Stott said injuries seemed not serious but X rays would reveal the true condition of possible head injuries.

The Bath Forty Years Ago column recalls the Times and Independent building later used by Central Maine Power. Erected after the Jan 28, 1894 fire that damaged Sagadahoc House and other structures, it later housed the People's Savings Bank and later the bank’s site. The Times was printed from 1889 to 1894 in the current Senter’s Inc. block. At that era the Shorey family owned the paper with Frank Shorey supervising mechanics and Albert Shorey as editor. W. Scott Shorey ran the bindery.
