Mr and Mrs Ralph P Mank of 15 Spring Street observed their Golden Wedding anniversary at home Tuesday. They were married November 30 1904 in Water Ville at the Methodist parsonage by Rev C W Bradlee. Mrs Mank is Florence Pollard from Winslow now active in many local lodges and societies. He is a Bath native and tool room foreman at Hyde Windlass Co with long service and lodge memberships. They have two children James Caverly and Henry W Mank and two grandchildren Judith and Donald.

The couple, married November 22 1934 in Bath, have a son John L Jack a Morse High student. Both are Morse High graduates. he works at Bath Iron Works and serves as town treasurer. The party featured a chrysanthemum theme, an anniversary cake, and a purse gift from guests.

A four year old from Gardiner was hit by a car on Route 1 at West Bath and remained on the danger list at Bath Memorial Hospital with serious head injuries. Dana Dinsmore darted into the road chasing a tin can as Robert Shaw Jr. of Bath, 19, drove by. Shaw said the boy appeared to dart into his path after kicking the can. William Holmes, the boy’s uncle, said he warned Dana but the child did not hear.
