Second Lieutenant Jean Garbett of the U S Army Nurses Corps is in New York City awaiting sailing orders for Bremmhaven Germany and a two year overseas assignment likely in Germany or Austria. She recently enjoyed a two week furlough at the Bath home of Mr and Mrs George J Hartsgrove at 75 Western Avenue, where she has lived for several years. A Morse High School graduate in 1950, she later finished at Eastern Maine in 1953. She joined the Army Nurses Corps in February 1954 and trained in San Antonio Texas, after which she was stationed at Fort Benning Georgia prior to furlough.
