Theodore Arsenault, who escaped from the South Windham Men's Reformatory during a heavy downpour, was located Sunday afternoon at 745 Middle Street and returned to the reform school by Supt. C. C. Campbell. He had been sentenced May 15 by Associate Justice Deasy to an indeterminate term for his role in stealing two automobiles. He had escaped previously, with plans that included his companion heading to Waterville while he aimed for Bath. News indicates the companion went to Richmond instead, prompting police to act.

Phippsburg road work under Morse and town appropriations
State road at West Point is under construction by N C Morse with a 34 appropriation from the last legislature. Basin and Small Point roads received similar funds but not available this year. Meadowbrook and Basin roads are in poor condition. Town meeting raised 3500 for regular road work, averaging about 60 per mile, with hope the same effort per mile would satisfy residents. The issue is described amid a stream of local social notices and visits between Sun shine Hill Farm and nearby towns.
