Aryan the last wooden full rigged ship ends in tragedy
A lengthy Phippsburg chronicle recalls the Aryan shipyard accident fifty years ago when the last wooden full rigged ship collapsed on the ways at Dromore Mills. Capt. Wylie Dickinson led the voyage while Minott oversaw the operation before the ship burned and sank near New Zealand. The piece also notes local memory of the Lincoln house at Stoneybrook and a Percy family reunion with a New England dinner.
