Coast Guardsmen Rescuers Save Capsized Boat Crew
Coast Guardsmen from the Kennebec River station at Popham Beach rescued occupants Edward K. Trent and John Trent of Sewickley PA after their 18 foot sloop capsized off Seguin ledges during a sudden squall. They clung to the hull for about half an hour before being hauled aboard the life boat and later towed to Small Point. Two companions, Thomas B. Fulwaiter and Spencer Fulwaiter of Wallingford PA, remained nearby but could not assist. The four mariners, visiting Friendship and cruising the coast, resumed their journey after drying camping gear.

Man Charged With Manslaughter In Brunswick Auto Tragedy
Francis E. Lee of Quincy will face a manslaughter charge in Brunswick municipal court after a Sunday morning crash near Hillside Filling Station that killed three and injured others. Witnesses say Lee and Warren Pitts drank prior to the collision. doctors report Lee not intoxicated. The dead include Mrs. John P. Anderson and her sister Mrs. Sarah Merrill, and Alfred T. Stedman of Brooklyn.
