Canary Island Finches Raise Wealth and Song in Maine
Mrs. William Spaulding of West Falmouth has raised over 1000 Canary Island Finches, prized songsters in Maine homes. She has kept canaries for eight years with only two losses, and a bird-home in Hurricane hosts a colorful display of about 150 songsters producing an operatic program. One noted canary laid 31 eggs, hatched 28, with 20 males.

Elliot S. Boardman 4 Irving Ter Cambridge Mass paid a $100 fine and court costs after being arrested at midnight June 19 for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Officer William Curran testified Boardman was driving during a class reunion at Bowdoin College on High street. In a separate municipal court session George Lacey was found not guilty of drunken driving after a case continued from last Friday.
