Iron Works reconverts German-built yacht in major project
The Bath Tron Works Corp undertakes conversion of the 227-foot steel yacht Elpetal, a major U.S. project expected to finish next fall. Owned by Elpetal Corp of New York, its president is Norman W. Woolworth of Winthrop. The vessel traces back to a Woolworth family cruiser later used by the Navy as USS St Augustine and USS Beaumarnt.
