Weetamoe, the 1930 J boat owned by Commodore Chandler Hovey of the Eastern Yacht Club, Marblehead, is consigned to the scrap heap. Built at a cost of $500,000, the all bronze sloop raced against Rainbow and Yankee before ending its days at Herreshoff’s yard in Bristol.
