Blank's offers groceries and laces. repairs offered by Keepfle Bros. Emma Robeson visits relatives, then Brookville. John Dennett and Huer mann wed in Oldenburg and travel to Cincinnati.
George A Sipple received a mail package from Germany containing photographs of relatives. A fifty cent income duty and twenty six cent internal revenue were paid on the parcel. Joseph Spiegel showed a photo of his wife’s sister, her husband, and four children, two girls and two boys, all bright and fine looking.
Batesville Public School presents a Washington’s Birthday program featuring three or four farces, singing, drills, declamations and recitations. A two hour show with refreshments will support expanding the Public Library by 50 to 60 volumes. Tickets note date error. event now Feb 27th in Room No 6, St. Clair Hall.

J. F. Burkhardt and Treasurer Franklin Co. will take taxes at Fred Wessel's Huntersville residence from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday February 19. Citizens are urged to attend to pay taxes. Henry Schone, after funeral duties, left for Marsham Oklahoma. His brothers John and Fred returned to Topeka Kansas.
Notice states Trustee Michael Benz will not attend township business until after 12 o clock noon on Saturdays and asks all parties with business to call on Saturday afternoon.
Carrie Becker daughter of Mike Becker died at Hubbles Corner on Friday February 7, 1902 from heart failure aged 30 years 7 months and 19 days. Burial followed Sunday at Hubbles Corner cemetery with her uncle Philip Boerstler attending from this place.
The Lincoln League of Indiana will hold its annual meeting in Terre Haute on February 12 and 13 with an afternoon session featuring Sidney A. Foster of Iowa and E. L. Hamilton of Michigan. A banquet at the Terre Haute House will host prominent state figures. railroads offer a one fare round trip rate.
A Missouri youth lost his money in a card game aboard the Knickerbocker as a broken track halted trains near Union factory. He bet his diamond ring against payment from a typewriter operator, who fronted the stake, then the players fled at Kaiser's livery to Osgood, eluding Cincinnati police.

Town Board learns it cannot issue 4000 dollars in bonds for water mains without a petition from a majority of property owners. Marshal Siefert circulates the petition per board direction asking owners to sign. The piece notes the board contracted for water works without public input and faces potential useless spending if consent is not given.
Public auction to be held on Tuesday March 4 1902 by John H Wernke listing three milch cows two work horses twelve shunts two farm wagons two buggies binder mower cultivators hay rake hay fork roller corn drill corn shelter four tons of hay 75 bushels of corn 75 bushels of oats 125 fence posts potatoes cooking stove and other household goods. Sale begins at 9 am. Terms provide twelve months credit on sums over five dollars secured by note with sufficient surety.
