Case Revoir v Gaffner in Greybull Trial

On Wednesday the 24th the case of Revoir versus Gaffner was heard in Greybull. The dispute involves $600 damages over unlawful entry into a rented house with claims of a stolen diamond ring. The court held both sides partly at fault and each to bear own costs. deed of judgment denied. Trials were unsettled or continued for other cases due to sickness and stipulation. No jury will sit until mid November to accommodate harvests with juries planned in Big Horn Hot Springs and Park counties beginning November 17. The judge has yet to decide the first county.

Doughboy and Gob Head From Minneapolis Toward San Francisco

Two musicians known as Doughboy and Gob set out from Minneapolis on August 24 aiming to reach San Francisco by February 1 to win a $1000 purse offered by George A Clipper, St Paul Post 1 Ameri can Legion. They travel by auto when invited and must earn a living by singing in theatres and dance halls. Their packs were lost between Lovell and Basin and a finder is asked to return them to the local office for forwarding.

Bert Frisby Breaks Arm While Cranking Ford

Wyoming Cuts Fire Insurance Rates Across State

C. W. Morgareidge state fish commissioner from Sheridan arrived in town yesterday. He had just finished a southern state tour and is en route to Cody to discuss the hatchery project there. Bliss Bayne of the Hyattville hatchery met him in Basin to discuss related matters.

Greybull Paper Sold to New Management

This week P. P. Anderson and F. F. Bristow bought the Greybull Standard from J. H. Harris. The new firm takes possession at month’s start with Harris remaining as news chief until a replacement arrives. Bristow, former Rustler linotype operator, will be manager and plans to move to Greybull. paper to pursue Republican politics and Greybull interests.

Baby Booth Highlights Weighed Infants at County Fair

At the fair a baby booth showcased weighing and measuring for infants up to six months, with feeding topics discussed by Miss Gray and Miss Fitzpatrick. Mrs. Welch led farm bureau efforts while many bottle babies proved overweight and some three to four year olds were undernourished. prizes were awarded to top infants in several age groups.

Snowbound Trio Return from Big Horns Trip

Fred Frisby Gilbert Jones J W Osborn and J R Bonwell finished a two car trip to the Big Horns. A heavy snow storm near the divide by Trapper creek forced them to turn back. Jones and Osborn later went to Tenshkeep for a short fishing detour before returning home.

Mrs Harris Injured at Greybull Press Office

Mrs J H Harris wife of the Greybull Standard proprietor was injured Wednesday when her right hand was caught in a job press in the office. Doctors will decide in coming days whether any fingers must be amputated. friends hope for a favorable outcome.

Jennings murder solved as Cardillos implicate Newell in Laramie

In Laramie Wyoming on September 22 1924 Pete Cardillo 20 a state liquor squad member confessed after eight hours of questioning. He claimed Walter Newell fired the fatal shots at Frank Jennings while Cardillo and his brother John Cardillo aided by driving the car. John Cardillo then corroborated the story. Authorities expect the confessions to yield enough evidence to convict all three men involved.
