Races at the Fair Start This Afternoon

Paint Rock and Shell Creek outfits prepare for a big roundup race next Saturday at the county fair. Foster Scott and Albert Winzenreidh head Shell Creekers, with Paint Rock led by Ralph Mercer and others from the Paint Rock Cutters association. The event draws many visitors eager to see skirmish style western cattle methods. Official Program For Thursday At The Big Horn County Fair

Big Crowds Witness Big Race Program At Basin Fair

Large crowds gather at Basin for a major race program as residents from across the basin display livestock and watch premier western races. A fuel oil contract between Franco Petroleum and Burlington Railroad will supply about 1000 barrels daily for locomotives on the new Wyoming Black Hills branch and Colorado and Southern lines to Cheyenne. The five year deal starts now with trains running today and expected crowds growing for tomorrow’s events.

Another Dance at Acme Amusement Company Event

Wednesday evening the Acme Amusement Company held another dance with a packed hall. The orchestra received praise for providing perhaps the best music yet at a Basin event. The Lord performed selections outside before the show, much appreciated by onlookers.
