Rain delayed the Big Horn County Fair opening shifting events to today. Exhibits fill the falfa palace as track prep nears completion for anticipated fast races. Float parades start at 10 30 am with added floats from lenders amid rising county interest and expected monster crowd for agricultural display and racing action.
A big round-up race between outfits from Sehil and Paint Track will be held at the fair Saturday. This major attraction has stirred much comment in the mountain country and rivalry between the creeks promises lively town events next Saturday. The replacement also will occur that day, a notable feature. Rev A R Schmidt, pastor of the local Presbyterian church, will preach his farewell sermon and depart the next day for a visit with his parents before attending school in Dubuque Iowa.
Scouting Cars under W. J. Nonsch and M. B. Collins reports road network to Douglas in excellent condition. Tour reached Casper Moneta Nowood east to state line and south to Cheyenne Torrington. Three well equipped garages to serve exhibitors and visitors. Governor Carey praises exhibit buildings and auto facilities. Open evenings at L. and B. Inn. Manderson visitor Alex Brown among Republicans.
The agricultural exhibit in the al falfa palace is praised as the finest ever seen at any fair in the west with widespread county representation in grains grasses fruita and vegetables.
