Revolver Control Urged by American Bar Association
A San Francisco meeting of the American Bar Association law enforcement committee urged strict control of revolvers. The report cites 8,500 to 9,500 annual U S homicides in a decade and asserts revolvers account for over 10 percent of murders. It argues banning manufacture of firearms smaller than the regulation army revolver could reduce crime and cites European experiences where revolvers are not carried. A pending bill in Congress aims to prohibit manufacture of firearms smaller than the army revolver.

Wool Tariff Debate Doubts Price Rise for Wool Cloth
Officials warn against false claims that a lower wool tariff will push prices up. Current law caps wool at 46 cents per pound with a conference rate not exceeding 33 cents, likely lowering prices. Over 100 million pounds of imported wool sit in bond in Boston awaiting the lower duty, while American Woolen Co has set prices for the year at or below current wholesale levels.
