Wild West fair thrills crowd at Big Horn county event
Crowds packed the Big Horn county fair for two days of exhibitions and races. Winners in Wednesday events included Elmer Barrett in the wild horse race and Dan Rogers in the mile free for all. Thursday featured neck and neck finishes and numerous race victories across small pony, relay, and novelty events led by Bill Curtis and Pat Pierce.

The Republican state central committee met at the Plains hotel in Cheyenne with wide attendance. P. C. Spencer was chosen state chairman, Chas. Lovell Man Arrested for Sale of Liquor
Lovell W B Hartigan formerly in the Basin drug trade was arrested early the week on a liquor sale charge. The hearing is set before Justice Willis at Lovell this afternoon. Hartigan had served as chairman of the county Democratic central committee. Local fair attendees included Mr and Mrs Ralph Mercer of Paint Rock and Wm Rannells of Shell.

Worland Hosts Big Horn Basin Teachers Institute

Girls Saxophone Band Delights Fair Audiences
The girls saxophone band directed by Prof. EB Hoover entertained crowds at the fair grounds and downtown concert. Basin High School Opens Busy Fall Term
Last Monday morning Basin's doors opened for the new school year with registration and teacher introductions. Coach Sharrar urged football players to work hard for a winning season as classes began. Regular work resumed Tuesday with books issued and courses lined up for nonal and commercial students. Enrollment aims high as many outsiders and Hyattville students join, swelling totals beyond previous years.

Insanity Hearing Declares Defendant Insane
