M. R. Douglas learns of his step-mother Mrs. Katherin Douglas death in Lonaconing Maryland at age 64. Area Judge Willis and Mr. Williams of West Virginia visited this week to handle their business affairs.
John Rhodes of Manderson received a letter from N A Wickwire who is now in France. Wickwire writes he is well and adjusts to the country though language is hard. He notes frequent rain and mud, some sun, and that he may not learn French, closing with regards to friends.
