Letter from Prof Moor in France August 1918 finds old acquaintance
The letter from Professor Moor dated August 1918 from somewhere in France describes slow mail due to separation from his unit as a mumps contact. He hopes to rejoin his company soon though timing is unclear. A chance reunion at a French port with Mr. Fuchs, formerly at Basin Wyoming, brings a brief moment of cheer.

Basin area notes on war, bonds, and county fair exploits
Excerpts reveal wartime letters praising Basin locals and Liberty Bond loyalties, plus a bank financial report from 1918 and a county fair recap. The piece highlights high school enlistees, front line sendoffs, and local club wins at the fair with plans for future demonstrations and a call for peach pits for gas mask charcoal.
