Big Republican Rally in Cowley Draws Large Crowd

A large gathering near Cowley Tuesday night under the Young Men's Republican Club of Gut Place showcased a strong Republican push. E Marion Willis led the program with music from Paxman’s orchestra and a sequence of addresses and solos by local figures, including John H. Hinckley and B. F. Basin Woman's Club program on civic culture and events

The Basin Woman's Club met at the fraternity hall with President Mrs. Thess and Mr. Hyde presiding. A bill for $16 for 100 club books was approved. Burlington officials inspect Billings to Denver line

A Burlington railroad party led by chairman George B. Harris and President Hale Holden conducted a daylight inspection of the Billings to Denver new line aboard a special train. Auto accident near Mayer ranch ends safely for Kelley and Pearson

Chas Kelley and R P Pearson driving a Ford to the upper Nowood left the road and rolled into the Nowood river near Mayer ranch on Monday. Both occupants escaped with no injuries and the car emerged waterlogged but operable after a dry out. The mishap is described as very lucky. Commissioners Hear Draws Need Attention on Cody Basin Road

Walter Kepford of Park county visited Basins early week and urged commissioners to inspect many draws along the Cody Basin route to improve road conditions. He noted that with the Burlington main line starting service from Cody, travelers heading to Denver may come via Basin, avoiding overnight stays in Billings due to no Cody branch connection. events include Cropsey's five-stock sale for B.
