The New Homestead Law Passed June Sixth
The liberality of the government is shown by the new home stead act signed by the president on June 6. Entrymen can prove up in three years with seven months of actual residence each year, allowing patent to the land after 21 months of residence in three years, instead of 60 months prior. Those already wed on their claims for three years may now offer proof to secure patent.
