Judge P W Metz buys the Brigham property and starts a brick and gypsum block garage project. The fireproof building will front 60 feet and extend 110 feet, with room for 30 cars plus aisles for 45. It includes three front offices, two rear pits, a trussed roof, steam heat, and modern construction. Costing 10000 dollars, it aims to attract tourist traffic with repair and vulcanizing services.
Construction to begin on the Ten Sleep Bonanza Canal as engineers announce groundbreaking plans. Local officials certify funding and outline project scope including routing, timeline, and expected economic impact for the surrounding region.

Capital secured for the Tensleep Bonanza canal project will enable immediate construction of a 20 foot wide concrete headgate and water delivery system near Broken Hack this year. HH N Brown of Chicago backs the effort with funds to complete the canal covering about 17 000 acres of first case land, with W B Kimball and C O Howard Post members guiding the work. A carload of cement arrived at Manderson for headgate construction, and initial work aims to water thousands of acres in Basin and Bonanza areas. Memorial Day services honored soldiers with Gen C O Howard Post 110 presiding, featuring Miss Wilma Shewcard reciting Gettysburg Address and a reception at Antlers Hotel.
The telephone company reports inadequate lines to outside points and undertakes work with a crew stringing two wires from Bastin to Gatewl to connect with the line to BiYings, creating three wires to that location while noting handicaps from current limitations.
Last Monday evening a group gathered at Mr and Mrs L A Zane for a turkey dinner with all the usual trimmings. Mrs Zane was helped by Mrs John Zane Mrs A M Creath and Miss Winifred Patten as flowers and a large bouquet adorned the table. guests included A W Coons D E Lewis D L Carr G W Black John Zane Jas I Patton Wm Stanley A M Creath J A Berry and Lou Blakeesly.
M. A. Jobe and J. H. Graves of Cody will build a fireproof brick or gypsum block garage north of the Markham House at 50 by 130 feet costing about 10 000. The Dodge Bros dealership will be headquartered there with parts supply and a machine shop for repairs, benefiting tourist traffic. Jobe brings ranching and stock experience, while Graves is a Dodge Bros agent with auto industry know how.
The schedule lists Friday night as The Living Lie a five act feature of the real Bohemia. Saturday presents Comrade John a Gold Rooster feature with Ruth Ireland as High Priestess. Sunday and Monday show Broadway features and a standard slit program. Tuesday starts Metro feature service with bookings pending. Wednesday hosts Red Feath feature. Thursday showcases Metro picture bookings not yet arrived.
Last Wednesday evening members of the Eastern Star held a special meeting to receive Mrs. Dlana Dickey Dickinson Worthy Grand Matron of Evanston. A six o'clock dinner followed in her honor then a social session in the lodge rooms.

Local Lodge of Royal Neighbors members traveled to Greybull last Tuesday night for an initiation class conducted by the Greybull lodge. About fifteen Basin members attended. After the class, the group shared an elegant lunch enjoyed by all attendees.
Mrs R J Extra hosted a large gathering at her beautiful home last Wednesday night inviting many friends. Attendees enjoyed a delightful time and stayed awake, according to those who were present.
C D Ferguson of Chico California is visiting his niece Mrs F L Rue. He is her great uncle and claims to be spry as many young men. He has traveled across the continent on every transcontinental railroad and carried a camp outfit. He crossed the country during the California gold excitement of 1849 and spent over 30 years mining in Australia. He has lived on the frontier and has many tales to tell.
This week Fred Frisby who has lived in the John Allen house moved on his own property recently purchased from Hattie Blakesley. Mr and Mrs Jack who had been in the Frisby House moved to the new Judkins rooms near the Markham House. A. Downey who had lived in the Baptist parsonage moved into the house vacated by Fred Frisby.
J. Kelsey of Oklahoma, an operator with years of experience, arrived Thursday to inspect old conditions. He says the local conditions are as fine as any place he has seen and, with his associates, they expect to become substantially interested soon.
Last Sunday Basin sent a good sized delegation to bur the speck led trout from his lair. They went to Tensleep and over to the Daugherty ranch on Canyon creek. In the party were Messia aid Mesdames Pat Leavitt, Billy May, Harry Drumm, Bob Landfair, P. P Anderson and Earl Daugherty.
J. P. Harvey faced a preliminary hearing last Tuesday before Justice Bonwell on charges of breaking into and robbing the pool hall. He was bound over to the district court in $500 and is jailed awaiting trial due to inability to post bond.
Last Wednesday evening a group of young friends and school mates invited Mira Fern Young to her home and enticed her away until about six o'clock. On her return she found the party had gathered, the table set, and the evening proceeding in the usual lively fashion.
