Tree Borers Methods For Saving Infested Trees
When cottonwood or other trees are badly infested with borers, cut down and burn the tree. If borers are few, save the tree by cutting them out with a sharp knife or killing with a stiff wire or carbon bisulphide. Locate the hole by sawdust, then apply the chosen method along the burrow.
