A nine o'clock accident at Jacob Hauser’s near Otto claims Louise Hauser age nineteen. A partially filled oil drum thawing on a stove exploded, fatally striking her in the forehead. Sister Carrie suffered minor burns as vapor ignited. Survived by parents seven sisters and two brothers. Funeral at Otto planned for 3 p m with Rev. Wardlaw presiding.

Misa Grace Davis died of influenza last week and was a devoted Red Cross worker. She and her mother Annie Davis produced pajamas beds shirts chemises underskirts outing flannel shirts and sweaters plus one pair of socks. Layette distribution is complete and a Denver handover is planned by Feb 1. Surgical dressings lead by F A Wise continue with jackets and masks. Knitting is suspended as stocks of yarn are analyzed and chapters will receive instructions.
