A stream of visitors and residents trod Basin area this week with Lovell Gentry in town for court and social updates. Notables include A F fillerup, De Claude Gould, Fred Wyckoff, Harry Hime, and L A Bowman while business runs through Tiltons Auto Livery Ford Garage and Wise Drug Store.

The Methodist church chorus directed by Mrs. M. H. Smth and Basin singers perform a sacred concert Sunday at 7:45 p.m. Admission is free, but a silver offering funds a pipe organ. Choir expenses for the year are covered. organizers hope for organ installation when the church main room opens.
County commissioners spend money to prepare a new bed and post signs telling the public to stay on sidewalks. Despite warnings, many trespass across grounds. Custodian John P. Zane instructed to arrest all trespassers after this. Zane seeks orderly use of sidewalks and invites trespassers to greet the judge.
Mrs R B West entertained a large group of friends last evening in honor of Mrs W L Simpson of Cody. The gathering featured card games and, before departure, delightful refreshments were served.
Herman Emmett Dewey Emmett Vin Hansen and Ezra Hansen of Lovell ages 17 to ? appeared before Judge Metz on Friday afternoon. They pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing liquor after buying moonshine. Each fined 200 dollars plus costs and given 300 days in jail with suspension after ten days for good behavior. Paragraph notes they come from respected Lovell families in the county’s north end.

On Monday evening Mrs. C. M. Gingrich hosted a bridge gathering in honor of Mrs. A. M. Gee of Casper. Attending were Mrs. Abréns Armstrong Burlumshew Bishop Brill Emery Hetzler Hyde Larrick Rausch Silver Stewart Weat and Miss Viva Phelan. Mrs. Larrick wore honors and Mrs. Lee won a prize. A late lunch was served after midnight.
The courtroom was packed an hour before court opening as Judge Metz began jury instructions. Officials note this marks the first time public interest has drawn such a large turnout since the courthouse was built.
A Yellowstone Highway Association gathering occurred at the Platos hotel in Cheyenne. Attendees from Cody Greybull Basin Worland Thermopolis discussed road improvements including proper marking and removal of confusing signs.
A son was born Tuesday to Mr and Mrs Edward Lee Yager at Basin Hospital. Both mother and child are doing finely. The Yagers hail from El Paso Texas with the mother daughter of Mrs Joe Henry of Emis Place.
