Death of Mrs Gaylord at daughter’s home near town
Mrs Nettle M Gaylord died Tuesday morning about six o'clock at her daughter Mrs Henry Armeling's home south of town from heart trouble. She was 63 and had been visiting Miles City Montana after relatives. Her body will be taken to Miles City with Mrs Armeling accompanying. Condolences flood to bereaved family.

Death of Sarah Katherine Borden at age five
Sarah Katherine Borden daughter of Mr and Mrs Ernest Borden of the north bench died Monday evening after a croup attack. She had been ill two weeks but deteriorated suddenly before a physician arrived. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon with Rev Bowling officiating and burial at Mount View cemetery. Sympathy is extended to the family in their sorrow.

Gibson Family Rushed to Rochester for Medical Help
Wm. Gibson with Mrs Gibson and Lester left Sunday for Rochester Minnesota hoping for improvement. Wm. Steele of Medestse accompanied them to Billings. A telegram reported arrival safely but Gibson very weak and in hospital under a special nurse with hopes of rapid improvement.

Beets Growers Offered Sliding Scale Contract
Denver Colo February 16 A sliding scale contract based on five dollars per ton for beets was proposed by the Great Western Sugar company at a conference with growers' representatives. Additional payments would apply if the sugar content or net price is higher than set levels, but the minimum remains five dollars per ton. The plan rests on district wide averages and aims to reduce grower risk while improving potential returns.

Lampitt Convicted of First Degree Murder
In the Lampitt murder trial Judge Motz instructed the jury Friday morning, the state opened arguments, and the jury returned a verdict of guilty of murder in the first degree with life imprisonment. Lampitt was sentenced to Rawlins penitentiary for life with hard labor and a $900 fine. He was to be delivered to Rawlins within ten days.

Mrs Rath Expires Near Shell After Diphtheria Attack
Mrs R B Rath died at her home near Shell last Sunday from diphtheria. Born in Henderson county Kinole in 1876 she was 47 years 4 months and 18 days old. Survived by husband four sons and two daughters. Funeral Monday by Rev Jacobson of Grey Bull Baptist Church. Interment in Shell cemetery. Widely known in the Basin country with many friends and condolences offered to the family.
