Last fall the association decided to boost melon culture by buying Rocky Ford grown cantaloupe seed from experts. A F Marah, in charge of seed distribution, was asked to supply 75 pounds by growers, with remaining seed to be claimed by interested growers. At least 76 acres will be planted this season and a car load a day is expected.

Judge Parmelee issued a mixed ruling in Taylor-Halatead Canal company versus Bessie Frisby.
