Whirl th Town musical comedy wows Basin audience

Whirl th Town presented by local talent to strong praise. Harry Williams directed and James W Evans wrote the amateur show with a large cast including H Hime as Andrew Jackson Equills and Miss Winifred Patten as Truly Yours. The three act farce featured catchy musical numbers and an enthusiastic chorus drawing a big audience and a dance afterward.

A three member arbitration board of I E Jenkins G W Black and J B Thompson awarded BE Fisher of Kats Cra ig company 191 76 after hearing evidence in a water works plant contract dispute. The award exceeds the manager Wells prior amount. Larry Hollywood of Thermopolis underwent shoulder surgery at Basin Hospital after a weekend arrival to town.

Progress association offers Basin postal postcard program

The Progress association distributes free Basin district postcards to advertise local merits. Interested citizens should contact H. T. Nowell, secretary, to obtain cards. Each card includes a space for a personal message. Residents are urged to mail as many cards as possible during the week starting February 1st to spread awareness.

Dance Attendance Despite Car Mishap At Man derson

Injured Hand At Basin Laundry After Cap Explosion

Ed Cowlthorp an employee at Basin laundry sustained a hand injury last Monday when a nitroglycerine cap exploded. The boy who found the cap was unaware of its danger. Dr Carter dressed the wounds and the prognosis is hopeful with no serious consequences expected.

Shell Creek Cattlemen Buy Linn Holdings on Black Mountain

The Shell Creek Cattlemen’s Association has purchased J. J. Linn’s Black Mountain holdings totaling 1 220 acres. Combined with 1 200 acres they already control, the range could support about 7 000 head of cattle and restore Shell Creek to prominence as a premier cattle district.
