A Basin area farmers meeting of the Producers association District No 3 elected Thos. B. Hunter as president and W. H. May as temporary secretary later filling in by Olver Irwin. They organized a five director board with ex officio district director and set next meeting for the 26th. They discussed seed potatoes deliveries, alfalfa meal mill prospects, the need for a local secretary in each town, and appointing Wm. C. Snow as temporary resident agent.

Mrs W. 8 Pease chaired the library gathering as she read a paper on Japan. Mrs G A Harris sang a Japanese Lullaby with Miss Patten at the piano and Dr M H Smith on violin. An encore featured Harris singing Of You Sweetheart of You composed by Smith.

Basin To Have Picture Show At Fraternity Hall
Basin opens a weekly picture show every Saturday night starting February 17 at Fraternity hall. Mc Kingabury and Mr Smith install a modern picture machine and promise a high quality program with current events scenic and comedy plus illustrated songs. The event features a one reel segment from the Gotch Hackenschmidt wrestling championship, 3000 feet of film and a big dance after the show.

Library Exhibit Promises Social and Artistic Week
An exhibit of pictures at the library begins Wednesday evening February 21 and is expected to draw Basin residents. The Woman's Club resolved to appoint a civic committee to arrange refreshments each afternoon and evening, except Thursday, as part of the effort.

A Deadwood meeting of the Black Hills Yellowstone Park Interstate Highway association drew 260 delegates from South Dakota and Wyoming. They elected officers A L Kinkead president Hayden M White VP J A Herrick secretary treasurer and endorsed an auto highway from Chicago to the Pacific coast via Deadwood Lead Sundance Gillette Buffalo Basin Cody. The plan would cross the mountains near Tensleep Washakie and Big Horn counties and connect with the government road to the park with a slated summer start to boost tourism.

Old Timers Meet at Annual Banquet in Basin
The Big Horn Basin Pioneers association held its annual meeting in Fraternity hall with President W. S. Collings presiding. A by law change placed wives with husbands and children with fathers, while officers were elected including W. S. Collins as president and J. I. Patten honored for the use of his building. A Lincoln birthday by law and press invitation were approved. The banquet featured a lavish spread by Basin women and a lively old time dance at the Patten building with reminiscences and addresses by club members. Out of town attendees included Borner Geey bull Shell Blakesley Lampman Shaw McClellan Magill and others.
