State Teachers' Association Officers Meet in Lander
December 30 31 and January meeting of the State Teachers association will be held in Lander to replace the usual gathering. Standard Rig Burned Near Laramie After Gas Pocket Ignites
A standard rig owned by Durk Hard & Board in the Nock River field about forty miles from Laramie was destroyed by fire after drilling encountered a gas pocket at about five hundred feet.

Badly Burned at Torchlight Power House Accident
D A Hall was badly burned in a gas explosion at the Torchlight power house when a stop cock blew off a pipe and a lighted torch ignited the oil. He ran to the house and flames were smothered. he was brought to Basin hospital and is rapidly recovering with burns to face arms and lower extremities.

Flora Fultz wife of Wm Fultz of Paint Rock and mother of Lloyd and Charles Riley died Monday night from pneumonia after influenza. She was born September 7 1879 in Laramie county Wyoming and was 39. Survived by husband father and two sons. Funeral Tuesday at 3 p.m. conducted by Rev C Wardlaw with pallbearers listed. Burial Hyattville cemetery. One of Basin country’s earliest settlers who endeared herself to the community.

B B Lowry formerly of Basin State Bank and founder of Commercial Bank in Greybull died in Greybull last Saturday morning after influenza. Remains taken to Lincoln Nebraska for interment. Survived by wife and two children with J R Engle of Greybull accompanying the widow to the funeral.

Brigham J Christensen Rites Held in Otto Cemetery
Brigham Julius Christensen born March 27 1876 died December 22 1918. He married Lone Saunders November 17 1902 and four children survive him with the wife. The funeral was held at Otto last Tuesday with interment in the Otto cemetery.
