Why a mother should nurse her child
Education on breastfeeding highlights mother’s health and diet, cow’s milk as a supplement, and the care needed in the first six months. It advises regular feeding every four hours, cautious night nursing, and sustaining milk supply through good nutrition and fluids. It cites county records from Big Horn Wyoming in 1921.
How to Increase Beet Yields Told in Government Bulletin
The USDA bulletin urges soil fertility and good seed bed, with humus-rich soil and careful blocking and thinning to raise beet stands. Proper irrigation, soil moisture, and fertility are essential, plus keeping plant food on the farm through feeding rather than removing crops. The farmer temperament and attitude toward beet production also influence success.
