Basin Meat Market Changes Hands This Week
Thomas and Verland agreed to acquire Basin Meat Market with possession on the first of the month. Thompson now runs the Big Horn Cafe and Verland, an experienced butcher, leads the new firm which will offer meats, fruits and vegetables. They purchased fixtures, machinery and stock. Smith and Latham have not announced future plans.

Webb Pursues and Recovers Burglary Suspect in Billings
W. Be Webb of Rairden returned Tuesday from Billings with Laula Tritch who is charged with entering the Webb home and taking a violin valued at 70 dollars. Webb, deputized by the sheriff, pursued and captured the prisoner in Billings and recovered the instrument. On the way back the prisoner attempted to escape at Kane but Webb and a train flagman stopped him with revolver shots. He will be arraigned tomorrow.

PIPE LINE CONTRACTS LET FOR 50 MILE GAS LINE
The Wyoming Gas Co. let contracts for a new gas line from Hidden Dome to Security Bridge Co. of Billings will start ditching all sections of the fifty mile line. R. N. VanSant of Casper got the pipe delivery contract and will deploy Clydesdale trucks to speed pipe arrival. The company aims to complete the line and turn on gas by late October.

Cody Ball Team Hurries to Battle Snake River Fire

Defective Wire Sparks Car Fire on Paint Rock Trip
Mr and Mrs James Keatchie and Mr and Mrs W H Pauley traveled to Paint Rock in the Keatchie car when near the Mercer ranch a defective wire caused the Ford to catch fire. Fire was put out with road dust. upholstery damaged and clothing scorched, but the party returned home the same evening.

Road Work Progressing Between Thermopolis and Lucerne
The Yellowstone highway link between Thermopolis and Lucerne has been let with machinery unloaded and completion expected before cold weather.
