Basin Schools Postponed Two Weeks Opening
The Basin school board postponed the start of classes by two weeks to help farm boys harvest crops. The new opening date becomes Monday September 16, instead of September 2. Two school wagons arrived, with one to serve Basin Gardens and the other Orchard Bench.

Death of Chas Behne Leaves Liberty Bench Grieving
Charles Behne, a respected Liberty bench citizen, died suddenly after a brain hemorrhage. He was 68, survived by his wife and seven children Delbert Frank John George Ellen and two daughters married to Huffman and Olson. Frank is in the army stationed at Long Island. August from Burlington arrived for the funeral. The service was at Greybull Baptist church Wednesday at ten.
