Celebration Of 96th Odd Fellows Anniversary In Amelia

Local Odd Fellows held a 96th anniversary celebration in Amelia with a program by Musele Gpeechas and others. Rev A M Creath and G J Gobgak spoke, a piano solo honored Ralph Hoover, and toastmaster Geo M Booth led talks. About seventy attendees enjoyed a large spread at the Amelia hotel before returning to the ball for games. County treasurer notes a busy period with delinquent tax collections: January six thousand five hundred fifty dollars, February two thousand forty eight, March five thousand six hundred seven, April three thousand two hundred making sixteen thousand eight hundred sixty four total, partly to cover expenses and 1914 taxes.

Wrecked Freight Car Tipped Over During Switch

A freight car derailed during switching when its end tilted and the crew tipped the car over to right it. The car was empty, preventing any injuries beyond the car. J. M. Robotham of Lincoln Nebraska and A B Hagen are in town this week to inspect the site and nearby equipment.

Fred Fristy of Basin was selected by the state board of charities and reform as inspector of all plumbing and heating at the Industrial school near Worland. The appointment came unsolicited and was announced with notice. Fristy is regarded as one of the best in the state and left Monday to assume duties.
