Refinery Planned Near Greybull Reported By Oil Directors

Oil and gas interests led by W L Armstrong C N Kimball and EB A Durham of Sisternville W Va say a refinery site near the town of Greybull will be built this season to handle all products. The project aims to employ many workers and create an outlet for existing stored oil while expanding regional industry. Details to follow as decisions are made.

Convict Escapes Ahead of Watch in Worland

Billings officers seek Ea Skinner known as Convict No 2144 who escaped from Worland industrial institute Saturday night. Officials say he eluded guards and may have boarded a northbound train. County agent Tedmon treated cattle for blackleg on the L. Z. Emery ranch above Otto this week. The area has seen many cases and some deaths, but losses are small now. He has been called many times this spring, always responds, and teaches farmers how to manage cattle should the disease reoccur.

Appendicitis Operation in Kane for Marie Nebel

Farmers' Union Holds Basin Meeting and Plans Fair Lead

The Farmers' Union met in Basin on Tuesday with modest attendance but strong enthusiasm. President Frank Ewen led reports from Shell Valley on funds for a Greybull warehouse and market, to be managed by Mr Burgman. Officials reappointed include Ewen as president, Dr G M Trough as vice president, Col May as secretary, with F B Reffner named county business agent. The group pledged to back the county fair and keep the union as a permanent, growing force for local farmers.

Manderson Schools stage program and eighth grade graduation
