First Annual Declamatory Contest At WGH School
Fine program prepared for the first annual J. C. Stewart Declamatory Contest to be held at the Rez theatre on April 14 at 7 30 p m. Include music by the high school chorus and orchestra with selections from Oulda Wiggin Booth Tarrington Hugo London and others. Admission 60c adults 35c children. The winner will represent Basin High School in the May 6 event with entrants from Big Horn Basin Casper and Lander.

Dauling to be started on reservoirs east of Torchlight
Hoye and associates who drilled the Wm. Lewis well in Basin Gardens have contracted J. H. Welsh to build reservoirs for storing water on lands east of Torchlight. Welsh will begin today and finish quickly. Drilling on the lease from A. J. Bakeon in Townships 51 and 62 North, Range 92 West will start once water is available. Three sands expected before 1900 feet, and activity in the district is promised soon.

About twenty representatives from Basin organizations met at the library following a civic forum. The group drafted bylaws, elected officers including P. P. Anderson as chairman and W. C. Bridge Contract Awarded for Shelltown Project
