Oil Land Leasing Bill Should Reduce Living Costs
F K Lane former Secretary of the Interior argues the oil land leasing bill will lower US living costs by boosting production of oil gas coal and phosphates on public lands. He predicts government royalties of 6 percent or more could yield 9 to 10 million dollars yearly while oil output rising will lower prices for oil and gasoline. He urges Western states to back the measure and cooperate with industry to develop properties under the act.
