Oklahoma Counties Rally For Good Roads Day Plan
Volunteers from Muskogee Okmulgee Tulsa and Wagoner counties prepare a two day good roads effort aimed at repairing 200 miles of road connecting four major cities within a 25 mile radius of Muskogee. About 25 000 men expected to participate after rains improved road conditions.

Going to the New Country Mr and Mrs Read and Friends
A Moorpark group including Mr and Mrs George Read Mr and Mrs H L Bennett and Mr and Mrs H L Ward spent Wednesday night with relatives in Temecula and left Thursday for Blythe Riverside County where they have bought farms to reside. Three Santa Fe stock cars were moved to the new homes. A social dance at Lees honored the travelers. They were joined by Mrs Geo J and Mrs W H Desking who will return early next week.

Banquet Honors M P Cheney on Leaving Service
The Arizona Division of Santa Fe employees held a banquet for Master Mechanic M P Cheney in Needles as he leaves service indefinitely. About 800 attended at the park, with 300 table seating, Moose and Indian bands provided music, and a $950 check was given in appreciation. Cheney will move to Colton for treatment for vision loss. Dr Shepards sanitarium cottages at Needles burned for unknown reasons around 8 p m with an estimated $5 000 loss and no fatalities.
