Barstow School House Fire Alarm Fends Off Incendiary
At about 10 15 P M Sunday W C McGuire a railroad yard day tender spotted a suspicious person near the Barstow school grounds. He saw a light in the new part of the building, investigated, and found a fire started with oily rags and shavings. He fired two shots to raise the alarm and extinguished the blaze, while the incendiary escaped. An arrest may follow soon.
