Examination for Postmaster at Goffs
The United States Civil Service Commission announced an exam to fill a fourth class postmaster vacancy at Goffs California with possible other openings. Receipt of applications closes October 5 1928 and admission cards will state exam details. Applicants must live within the post office territory. The prior postmaster’s pay was 853 dollars for the last fiscal year. Julious Schade of Barstow bought ad space to promote the Oder service station at the cross roads west of Kramer. He recently took over that station and invites travelers to visit. A post card from B F Butts dated last Monday notes a day with his son Floyd and lunch aboard a battleship. Floyd is serving aboard. Butts returned home today.
