An institute for all elementary teachers of the desert and mountains of San Bernardino county was held in Barstow at Barstow Union High School. The program covered registers, attendance, report cards, state text books, library service, and plans for county fair exhibits with many districts represented.

Riverside officials announce the aerial marriage of Peggy Treydle of Riverside and Jimmy Newton of Los Angeles during the Southern California Fair in Riverside from September 23 to 28. Pilot Earl W. Gordon will fly the cabin plane with Mytle Treydte as bridesmaid and Elmer Y. Klein as best man, while a convoy of planes scatters flowers and the couple heads on an aerial honeymoon to Catalina Island.
