FE A Farrington, science teacher, reports a notable summer vacation in eastern states. Mr and Mrs Farrington drove the entire route along the National Old Trails Highway, finding the highway in very good condition. The trip began at Farrington's old home in New York state.
Miss Thames enjoyed a short visit here Sunday with her father and friends. She works in the Sun office at San Bernardino. The Waterman ranch reports fine sheep with a purebred Hampshire ram, and the flock is in demand at the local meat market.
B M Prescott of Union Pacific visits the Printer office on Tuesday and calls on business houses along the line. The Lopers Jin and Mrs W P Loper visit Barstow during vacation. Todd school plans to open September 20 with Miss Mallering as teacher. Mrs. E. T. Riley and Mrs. S. S. Hill returned from Los Angeles Wednesday, and Miss Mallering is returning with them.
