High School Notes Lions and Bears Split Plans and Events

The school divides into two societies, the Lions and the Bears, with upcoming programs on October 27 and November 18 respectively. Bears won both boys baseball games so far. girls’ game is scheduled for November 1. Juniors host a Masquerade dance on November 3. Xenia Bills, former B U H S student, visited Tuesday. Seniors near decisions on class rings with pretty samples presented.

Mrs. Clark Dies Following Auto Accident

Mrs Roza B Clark wife of John A Clark died at their Hinkley home at 9 am Tuesday from injuries after an October 14 auto crash on Cajon Pass. Her son Alex was in the car when it left the road during a broken traffic transfer, throwing occupants out. Mrs Clark suffered severe injuries including broken ribs and internal trauma. she had been in critical condition before passing away. Born May 8 1868 in England she had lived in California for 13 years and resided on a Hinkley ranch the last 3. Burial was at Inglewood Cemetery after services at Barstow Undertaking Parlors.
