Barstow will host a postal savings depository starting October 17 with Postmaster Kendrick ordered to prepare. The Bulletin confirms a similar depository for Searchlight. The piece notes a desire for parcels post law enabling low rates on 10 to 11 pound shipments, and claims express companies influence Congress.

The board of directors levied on September 26 1911 an assessment of one fourth cent per share on the capital stock payable to D F Wilson secretary at room 403 Germain Building Los Angeles. Unpaid stock by November 7 1911 becomes delinquent and advertised for sale and if unpaid by Navy 28 1911 at 9 oclock pm will be sold to pay the delinquent assessment and costs. First pub Oct 6 to Oct 27.
The Pacific Salt and Soda Company advertises an extended sale time for delinquent stock. The auction is scheduled for October 27 1911 at 2 PM in Los Angeles to cover the unpaid assessment costs.
